Chapter Eleven

Fuck! Jalen realized he’d made a grave mistake with Kat by pulling back instead of taking things further, but he’d needed to wash her sexy body to make sure she’d been okay after falling off the bed. The last thing he’d wanted to see was even more bruising on her soft, smooth skin.

He’d figured out that she been scared when she’d woken up with a man against her body, and he was pissed at himself for not talking to her when she’d started moving and her breathing had changed. Maybe if he had, she might not have tried to get away from him and she wouldn’t have hit the floor with a hard thud. He and his brothers had no real notion of the abuse she and Niki had endured, and her reaction had most likely been knee jerk. Now, he’d hurt her feelings by stopping things in the shower, before he’d gone too far. It had nothing to do with not wanting her, but his brothers were waiting for him in the bedroom. He, Dante, and Mica were all hoping to make love with her and claim her, but he wasn’t sure how receptive she was going to be after his fuck up.

He didn’t say anything more as he was worried he’d put his foot in his mouth yet again. He finished washing her, relieved that she didn’t have any other bruises to add to her collection, then he rinsed her off and started bathing himself. A myriad of expressions flitted across her face and he was able to read nearly everyone one of them as he stared at her reflection in the mirror. There was sadness, anger, and nervousness, but he also saw a glimpse of nervous excitement.

Jalen finished up quickly. He wasn’t about to let her out of his sight nor to run from him and his brothers anymore. She’d agreed to be theirs and he was going to collect on that promise in the next few minutes. Mica and Dante were as impatient as he was to claim their woman, and he had a feeling that she would be just as eager as soon as she saw his naked brothers in the bedroom.

What concerned him was that seeing their bare, muscular bodies and over-average sized dicks would frighten her enough to change her mind.

He shook his head. Kat hadn’t been scared when she’d seen his erect cock. In fact, she’d seemed downright fascinated. Jalen moved in behind her, wrapped an arm around her waist, and pulled her against him.
